I'm thinking about finding original front seats - - - anyone got a set they'd like to trade for a set of very comfortable, very green ones? Too expensive to have them recovered in a non-clashing material.

Are you talking about factory Dodge seats? I bought a set of leather minivan seats for mine. Same seats as in my Chrysler Town & Country.

Those leather ones are pretty cool.. Can you get em without the electrics?

Man, that's a lot for the re-upholstery work! Especially if you did some of the work yourself. I wish I knew what the seats in mine came out of. Then I could get the right covers - maybe. Somebody suggested that they looked like 70's Ford van seats.

You could make up a manual set. The leather interiors always came with a power driver's seat. The seats I got for my GTC are actually made up of parts from front and back seats. The middle row leather seats are usually in much better shape since they got used less and the dark glass in the back protects them from the sun. The middle row seat bases aren't good to use because of the way they mount to the floor. Plus they don't have any fore/aft adjustment. I used front bases and cushions and back rests from the middle row. That also got me dual arm rests for the passenger side so I'll have to eliminate the armrest on the door.

If you have the original front seats in your GTC they are probably custom RV seats.

I'd like to keep my pedestals and rails, but I'm sure what's there isn't original, judging from the brochure. Why the prev owner went with electric green is a mystery. They'd be perfect in a white/green machine but not is white/brown/orange.

Do you have the round pedestals with a square plate on top and bottom?

Yup. Big base with 4 bolts going through floor. The seats have plywood bottoms.

OK, I'm back on this seat topic again!

What I'd ideally like to find is a set of the original Hall white seats with external metal hardware on the armrests. My current seats are in great shape and are extremely comfy on long trips, but the green is just not right for the brown/tan color scheme. So, either I find other seats or redo the ones I have. I have a good industrial sewing machine that goes through anything without a hiccup, but I'm intimidated by the complexity of the seats and don't want to screw things up. I've been learning by making all new seats for my boat, which have turned out pretty well, but they're simple by comparison.
