well few months ago the leak in the exhaust manifold finally plattooned so i went ahead and put headers on this thing and wow! the results are amazing ..i now have power on demand and a much quieter cabin...although combined with the true dual exhausts outside is no longer quiet ..it has a very distinctive muscle car sound ..oki i wont be from zero to sixty in 6 seconds but it definily has more power:) and i lik it ![]() |

Cool. I actually have some trouble keeping it down on the highway with all the bolt-on mods, including exhaust headers, Edelbrock intake and carb, 3" exhaust and free-flow muffler. I wish I had the resources to ad a Gear Vendors over-under drive! And EFI, of course. BTW, the reason I went with the single exhaust on the driver's side was to reduce the hot rod rumble. ![]() |

Um - hum... I forgot the curtain thing. After several attempts to find adequate curtain runners I made them from Apitong, which is a natuarally oily, tight grained hardwood. My wife made all new curtains with light blocking material on the window side. I still haven't gotten up the nerves to try the seat upholstery, but they need it! The settee has the original checkered corduroy, still works - sort of - and the fronts are from some slightly later GREEN vehicle. CLASH! They're very good ergonomically and fit well without looking out of place, except for the color. There's just no end of places to spend money on these babies. |

So far the only ones I have found are the Hedman. |

Not sure what the brand of my headers is, but the clear both the doghouse and oil filter well. I bought some fiberglass header insulation to try and lower the heat and noise levels but still haen't installed (after 4 years). |

We have headers on our rig, and but unfortunately we blew a hole in one side. We took it to a muffler shop, and they said we would be better off just replacing the headers. So, that's what we are looking to do in the near future. Just wished we could figure out what headers are on it now, so, we could just get the same ones, but no luck there at all. Thanks for your feedback everyone. |
