Post subject:  Replacement rims for 16.5 to 16

I have seen a post on this somewhere in here but can't find it. It is time to get tires and the rears are duals and they are 16 inch but the fronts are 16.5 inch and I want to make them 16 inch. Any suggestions on good rims to use? They don't need to be fancy and the rear ones are just painted gray but I am not against using a chrome wheel if it is not too much.

This is it :) fronts should be easy. Rears are the tough ones.. I have the super single rear. Check my blog link on my gallery page I documented my tire store adventure.

The front wheels are easy. You can get them from just about any Dodge from the 1980s up to the 1990s. Just need to be 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern. Also from Fords up to the mid 80s. Also make sure you have the matching lug nuts. Some wheels have a 90 degree cone and others have a 60 degree. A 16x6 is a good size but you can also use a 16x7 if you want a bigger tire. With the duals, you'll be able to use the same size on all the wheels.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you'll probably need to keep a 16.5" wheel as your spare in order to fit the rear. And also keep a set of lug nuts for the spare too. I'm assuming you have the right lug nuts on your dual wheels. See the thread linked above.

I've done a lot of research on this subject so if you're still not sure, let me know.
