Who has replaced their AC, but kept it in the forward portion rather than the roof? Is the AC unit a standard RV AC unit, just mounted inside? |

The overcab A/C is not a standard roof A/C. It is a large box with a big duct on each side that goes to each side of the roof above the cab doors. All the ones I've seen where people have replaced the factory A/C they have just removed the overcab unit and cut a hole in the roof to mount a standard roof a/c unit. You'd have to run the 110v wiring up there as well as there are only 12v lights up there. The coach didn't even come with roof vents from the factory. |

Nick is correct. Added to that is that they were made by Frigiking, and they don't even have anyone working there that remembers these units. Mine works great (knocking on wood sounds) and it seems a really good place to stick an AC system |

If I should happen to find one, I'd like to keep it in the stock location, though it seems many people have moved them to the roof. Do you think the basement style ac's could be modded to work? |
