Just a short post I have a 1974 vin 73075 one of the last made bought in Tucson drove home to Nova Scotia trip to Florida and trips around home. Now heading back to Tucson with it few problems this time. Trans front wheel bearings universal joints but all and all we love it. Pulling a trailer which she does not like much. Will try to post pictures at another time. It will be interesting to see how many are still on the road. I've only seen 2 others one in San Diego. 2 tone grey and one on craigslist a couple months ago. Russ

Russ,
Welcome aboard. I know of about 13-14 of them right now. I know there are more out there but not sure how many survived. Mine is one in San Diego (Green/White) and was originally in the Los Angeles area.
Nick.

That's a lot of driving! Luckily for you, all of the things that need attention are readily available and not too expensive. Well, maybe the transmission isn't all that cheap, but be sure to acquire one that's been remanufactured, not just rebuilt at a local shop. I got mine from one of the national hot rod supply houses on-line, along with a new truck/dragster torque converter. I did this because the engine needed to be rebuilt (106,000 miles is a lot of miles on a 9,000 lb vehicle with a 360) and it seemed like the right time. I feel a lot more comfortable now about heading off into the wilds of Big Sur, to say the least.
