thanks a lot for posting this inf, Nick. Since I actually have my Hall at the garage because of the brake pedal going to the floor, it got my attention BIG time. After the bit about the frame cracks I crawled under the front end and had a look, and what do you know? I found the Chrysler fix, all nice and tidy! Whoever owned it had the warranty work done. I can hardly believe it. :))

I would suggest checking this as my whole steering box sheared off the frame. Had to remove the steering box and steering wheel and most of the front; bumper, all trim, radiator and had to cut a hole in the wheel well to get access. Fabricated a new bracket piece by piece and tack welded it together to put the steering box back on and position the steering wheel. Then had to pull it all apart again and pull the new support plate out and took it to a welding shop and had them weld it. Put the bracket back in and bolted it in place and rewelded the top of the frame rail and beefed up all the suspected weak points on the frame rail.
