Absorbed glass mat batteries have a slightly different bulk and float charge voltage and shouldn't be mixed in the same charging circuit. Since much of your charging is accomplished with your engine's alternator you need to have ALL your batteries be the same type or your house bat's will be toast in short order. The battery box in the GTC is nicely suited for groupe 24 12 volt batteries, which coincides perfectly with the best size for your chassis battery.

I think he's saying that if you want the AGM batteries, you need to replace all three. The starting battery and the house batteries.
