Brand new GTC owner, without a manual. :(

My generator runs great but the coach does not get power when it's running. The only way for it to work is by running the extentire cord from the plug in side snd plug it directly into the plug that is on the actual generator. Is there some sort of switch to tell the coach where to get the power from?

Like many RV's, generator power is provided via the duplex female plug located at the rear of the battery box next to the battery tray. To get juice to the AC breaker box you simply plug the shore power plug into that receptacle. This is a good setup that prevents deadheading shore power with generator output.

Thank you. This is my first RV, and I love this Hall GTC! I actually found this female outlet but didn't know what it was for. thank you for the info the coach power now runs great off the generator.
I'm sure this is just one of many questions ill have.
Thanks again, Chris

Great!. I had to change out my original Generac for a much newer Onan because of parts availability, and the problems with servicing the dinosaur electronics and the drive belt that requires removal of the unit for replacement. Not exactly user friendly!
