Once we had the pump out, we found a crack on the plastic section that seems to hold a filter. Can we simply eliminate that part of the assembly? |

I found several websites that offer this pump and parts. And I found this site helpful https://www.etrailer.com/question-357142.html I talked with one local mechanic who said I could just eliminate the filter... but is that a good idea? |

We are thinking we can simply leave the strainer out of the water line. I found one that will replace the cracked one, but it costs more to ship it than the price of the part, adding up to $20. It's OK if necessary, but we don't see why we really need it. If anyone has insights about this, please share. Here is the website where I found it: https://mkrittenhouse.com/us/shurflo-st ... assemblies |

Did you get that resolved? Unfortunately my GTC sits behind my shop waiting for some love while I've got a million other projects. I haven't put the christmas tree in it yet. |
