The dash design changed in 1978 but on motorhomes you might have the older style in a newer year because it will be titled for the year the motorhome was made, not the chassis. There are some differences in the early ones along the way but I think all the gauges interchange.

Suspension is a bit of a problem. The GTC used an MB300 chassis which has heavier duty components than passenger vans. You'll have to compare the parts between them.

My 1979 Dodge Brougham motorhome is the one that I've worked on the most and had to make several trips to the parts store to get the right parts, especially related to the brakes.

The other big change was to the front wheels and spindles. The '71 - 73 used different wheels on the front and rear axles because of the spindle design. Later models share the same wheels all the way around after the change to the later style spindles.

i had problems with the springs i could not find a pair that matched the originals anywhere..im gonna eventually retemper them..they ride much better (softer) than the moog ones i replaced them with..they are a bit stiff and short...there is one other company id like to try but they are pricey ones ...but sounds lik i can scrounge some parts off a 76 and 77 dodge vans i found here in junkyard

Like Nick said - the springs on the regular vans are too weak to use on a GTC. Ours are 1 ton models, and most vans are 1/2 and 3/4 ton B100 and 200. I've also thought about this issue a bit and I think that retempering is the way to go.
