I am so happy to find your website. I couldn't believe the gallery page. Three of the seven Hall's have been owned by my family. The one owned by Eric Swanson belonged to my husband and myself for about fifteen years. If anyon is interested in the history of these coaches, just let me know. They include the one mentioned, the one with the gold stripes that is located in Portland, and the one owned by Larry Griffen. They are great old coaches and we miss ours.

Great to hear from you. I'm sure they'd all be glad to get some history. I'm really curious as to how your family owned 3 of them? They are so hard to find. Please share what you can here on the forum.

A question I have is do you know if any of your GTCs had an owner's manual for it produced by Hall Coach?

Nick.

By the way, Larry Griffin is a new contact to me and he wants to sell his. I'm waiting for additional information.

I don't think there was any owner's manuals, sorry to say. To answer your question -- my oldest brother bought a Hall (the one Eric owns now) in the mid-80's. He liked it so much that brother no. 2 wanted one. They located one that was for sale in New Mexico and bought it. That is the one Larry Griffen owns. Brother no. 1 wanted something bigger and bought a Revcon. We bought his Hall. A little later he bought the one that is in Portland. This all happened over a period of a few years. We all had them painted and fixed up. It used to be fun to go camping. We always had people wanting to see them and know where they could buy one. They looked impressive when all together.

Well first welcome to the site! Second is wow what a small world it is that 3 of the remaining known halls were owned by one family! I bet that was a sight to see 3 of them together. I'd love to know the history on them and mine in particular. Where it's been, Major issues, tips and tricks you learned. I don't know if you saw my blog but I've been doing some repairs and upgrades. We have really enjoyed it so far and plan to really get it out next summer after a winter Carb upgrade and some supension work.

Hello Swanson. Thanks for the welcome. Regarding the three coaches together - my husband made a website about twelve years ago with pictures of them. However, we have always had a hard time accessing it. I would love to find it again to post those pictures here.l It is not totally lost because a couple people have found us.

We owned your Hall for about fifteen years. Before that my brother owned it in Phoenix. I'm not sure if he had the hitch put on or not, but he pulled his horse trailer all over the Southwest to horse events. It was pretty much in original condition when he bought it and he redid it. After we bought it we pulled our trailered hot rod (a 1963 Nova ex-drag race car - named "Quickdeuce") to car shows all over Washington, as well as alot of camping and vacationing. We moved to Salem, OR and didn't get to use it much for several years. I'm sorry to say, it kind of deterioted. Hubby went to work in Iraq and is now in Afghanistan so we had to sell it. It was a sad day. The dealer I sold it to tried to convince me that it was "just" an old 1973 motorhome. I tried to convince him that it was special and a classic. It didn't work, he got it for a song. I am so happy to find it and know that you are fixing it back up. (those windows-grrrrr.) When you posted that you felt bad seeing it being towed, I knew the right person had it. Feel free to ask any qustion that you might have.

I'll have to do more digging to try and find your web site. I scoured the Internet for information when I got mine and there was very little available. That's why I started this site. I knew if I was having a hard time finding anything, others were as well. There is just something about these coaches that make them special. I never made a whole site for my '79 Brougham.

I had someone new contact me yesterday who is buying a GTC so hopefully they'll be joining the conversation once they get the deal done. I know there are more out there that we just haven't located yet.

The clue was using quickdeuce in the search.

And here's an interesting old forum thread when Eric (Swanson) bought his.

OMG Nick. Thank you for finding that site. I love the pictures and seeing the hot rod hooked up and ready to go just about brought tears to my eyes. :D :D :D
