Just saw this on ebay. Later chassis and double doors in the back, Generator door doesn't have the slots, can't see the electric side step. The VIN listed is for a 1979 Dodge chassis. I'll see if I can get more info and pictures from the seller.

I've been talking with the owner and she says that it was always a van. Looking at the pictures it has some unique things going on. Like the generator door with no vents, no sign of any fridge or furnace vents, no cutout in the roof for the range vent, blank plate where holding tank drain goes and it looks like there is only one gas tank filler door. And no water filler door on the right side. I added it to the gallery page and posted a picture from 2005 when it still had the 440 engine in it.

Also just noticed that the clearance lights are arranged differently. The outboard ones are on the ends of the body instead of the side. The rear side marker is also the later style that started to be used in 1978.

crazy I wonder if it's a case of someone getting one of the fiber glass shells that were never used.. You have to wonder how many went unused when the company went under.. Also what happend to the molds.

They never came back with any additional information. The auction ended without meeting reserve. I'll give it a couple days and contact them again. I want to make sure if they decide to part it out that I know about it so that we can get the parts.

Here's an update...

They ended up selling the Chevy motor and transmission out of it and are keeping the van as a storage shed. I asked them to keep me posted if they decide to sell it again. Maybe I'll get out there sometime and check it out myself.
