So, what if anyone is willing to share, what are you doing for your GTC insurance?

When speaking with my insurance company, they said they don't specifically doing classic RV insurance. While I could get comp/collision, they are just going to consider it a 39yr old rv, the same as any other class C of the same age.

Anyone had theirs underwritten or just running liability?

I carry State Farm RV insurance which, even though I went into painful detail into how much $ had been invested and how cool a vehicle it is, they simply insured according to the original purchase price - devalued by age. :( On the other hand, the coverage is really cheap! :)

What is the approximate value of a 39yr old rv?

Probably what, 2 or 3 bucks?

Even though they don't exactly spell it out, I'm guessing somewhere in the $4,000. range. Remember that these things weren't cheap! I think I'll have a little discussion with State Farm about this, or maybe see if there's a way to get an appraisal value that more accurately reflects what I think it's worth. :)

I realize they aren't going to pay out 10k for a 74 dodge motorhome, but still.

I guess that after new upholstery and paint that's pretty close.

I have my motorhomes insured along with my cars. Both just have liability insurance. I have classic car insurance on my collector cars but they don't cover RVs. I don't know if something like the Good Sam club would do better or not.

In any case, keep any receipts for work you do to it.

I've saved up about 30 lbs of receipts. :)
